How to play Sin Bin

Getting started

1. One person goes to sinbin.lol/play and taps Host a game. They get a four letter room code and a QR code.
2. Everyone else scans the QR code or goes to sinbin.lol/ plus the code, like sinbin.lol/ABCD. Type a name and you're in.
3. The host picks The Full 80 (a bit of everything) or Trivia, sets the length in Match setup, and kicks off.
4. Each round starts with a quick "How it works" screen, so nobody needs to read this page first.

Bluff Field

A real footy fact with a word missing. Everyone writes a fake answer. All the fakes get mixed with the real answer and a couple of our own, then everyone picks what they think is true.

• Try, +1,000: you pick the real answer.
• Sold a dummy, +500: for each mate who picks your fake.
• Knock on, -250: you pick one of our fakes.
• Put on report: blow the whistle on an answer you reckon is a mate's fake. Right call +100. Report the real answer and it's -250. Two reports and that player is sin binned: they can't write a fake next question.

Footy Trivia

• Classic: four answers, one is right. +1,000.
• Scoreline: you see a grand final score. Guess the winner, the loser and the year in four tries. Green is right, gold is close. 1,000, 750, 500 or 250 points depending on the guess.
• Pick 'em: several right answers among eight. +400 each right pick, -200 each wrong one, +300 for a perfect set.
• Order Up: tap four items into order. +250 for each in the right spot, +250 if all four are.
• Hat-trick: three right in a row, +500.

Banter Clash

An open prompt with no right answer. Write the funniest thing you can and vote for your favourite. +500 per vote and +1,000 if everyone votes for you. We add a few of our own answers so small groups still get a real choice.

Draw

Expansion Draft: everyone draws two jerseys or club logos and writes three team names. Everything gets shuffled and dealt out, never your own pieces. Build the funniest club from your hand, then everyone votes. +500 per vote for the club, and +100 royalties per vote to whoever drew the design or wrote the name.

Logo Lab: redraw a real club's logo from memory and vote for the closest, or invent a brand new club and vote for the best.

Golden Point

One last bluff for double points. Before you pick, bet up to half your score. Right and you win it, wrong and you lose it.

Half time

The host can call half time whenever they like. The match is saved, and the host can pick it back up later, even another day, from the same room code.
